Day 04 - Munin Tribal Council #1

Welcome Munin to Tribal Council.

Behind each of you is a torch, grab it and get fire. We do this because fire represents your life in this game, once your fire is gone, so are you.

Tonight, one of you will have the distinction of being the first winner voted out of Stranded for Victory.

Stephanie, you are individually immune tonight. If you'd like to give it to someone else, you now have 5 minutes to do so.

Votes will be due at 8:40c/9:40e sharp. You can change your vote at any time up until then.

Melinda, having played stranded before anyone else here, is it weird being back after so long?

Catalie, is it weird seeing some old-schoolers you haven't seen in a while? Have you gotten to know any of the newer players?

Yeah it is weird as fuck. I feel old. It has literally been a decade. I don't feel as though I am even close to the same Melinda that was here in 2008. Yeah never thought this would ever happen.

Val, it's a pretty diverse group from different "eras" of Stranded, or gaming in general. Does any of that matter or does it ultimately come down to the individual player?

Loveita,
Do you sense any negative perceptions of you as someone who has never even played stranded before?

Courtney, was tonight's vote relatively easy to decide on?

I wouldn't call it weird, it's nice to see people I haven't seen or talked to in years. Knowing some are still alive, and back to gaming.

With the new players, that's actually been fantastic. Getting to know some fresh faces has been actually delightful. Hearing the war stories of their seasons and how people won their games has been interesting too. Proving we all have our own stories, I've enjoyed it.

Mookie, any familiar faces on the tribe that you reunited with?

I'd say people are going to flock to people with whom their comfortable, but this game has been divided beautifully that one can't reasonably and solely rely on that. Thus, people seem to be intermixing and creating beautiful new relationships. It's individual but not!

I was definitely worried about that coming into the game. But I think that even though Isolated is a different game, it's still run by the same people. I think people recognize that I deserve to be here as a winner too and haven't treated me any differently.

Besides Val that I played with very briefly, and Joaqin who I had stuck into my head that I knew, no. I've come in with very little knowledge of anyone else, unfortunately.
