It came to me as in a dream. In fact, it literally came to me in a dream, from which I just woke up. I was in a theater with my girlfriend to see the Metropole Orkest. For some reason, she had designed the entire theater, but that’s beside the point. After some charming meet and greets with the other attendees, I suddenly realized...I had to see if we won the challenge! I whipped out my mobile device, raced to open
index.php, and logged in to see some friendly messages from Kim. While I had no idea in this dream where conversation had left off, she was saying that she “agreed with my idea to get the three Munin to think one or a couple of our Fenrir trio was voting with them so that they wouldn’t use an idol if they had one” and that she “also agreed Penner was the safest name to feed them, as she could use her sob story of feeling betrayed by the Ziggy vote.” So she tells them she’s voting Ziggy, they lower their guards, and we “blindside” them with a 3v3. Now, this scenario is fucking ridiculous because it’s a whole lot of effort just to arrive at a regular ol’ tie anyway. Plus we know from the fact that there are no idol clues here that the Munin idol has already been used and rehidden. So that’s all stupid dream logic. But here’s the kicker. Understanding that, without me, the votes were currently resting at 3 on Penner and 2 on Melinda (I don’t know why it was her, but that’s who we picked in the dream), I go to cast my own vote. Naturally I put mine down for Melinda. After all, I’m loyal to the core, aren’t I? And then I cast another vote for Penner. Huh?!?! Excuse me?!?!?!? Ohhhh myyyy
LORD it’s so genius. I’d have complete deniability with my Melinda vote and I’d be able to take out my top ally without looking disloyal, thereby lowering my own threat level and ensuring I’d never have to face the prospect of Tammy spilling the beans to him about my snitchitude. All I would have to do to make this a reality in real life would to somehow ensure the Munin votes go onto Penner. After tribal I’d send a sympathetic “what the fuck just happened” to Kim and sow discord within the three Munin by suggesting that one of them must not want to have revealed that they got an extra vote, lest they be seen as a threat. I’d even attach another
Trout Fishing in America excerpt to my Melinda vote so I could point to it and go, “see? who else would have done that?”
Well, hosts, is Cassandra just crazy enough to do this?!?!?! It may all depend on if we win immunity.
I’d also like a quick clarification on the rules of this extra vote. So I know it’s only valid for the next three tribals, and so far there have been two. But is it invalid after this round no matter what, or is it valid until the next time I personally go to tribal, after which it becomes invalid? There’s also the question of Cristina, who Kim thinks she may be able to rope in with us. While it would be great if we had an easy majority through her, I also want to believe she won’t come over just so I can try to pull this shit off. If we end up nabbing Cristina and it’s an easy 4-2, my sincere apologies to the hosts for an incredibly boring season thus far.
Now for some more traditional ramblings:

Phase one complete . Now entering the true test of maneuverability in survivor, shuffled tribes! I'm sure you've got a lot of grafting to do, but while you do, give us some thoughts!
1. You know what to do. Analyze your swap tribe. Majority? Minority? Plan to survive?
I think this was all heavily implied in that whole tangent, but it’s looking like two unstoppable forces against two immovable objects over here. Munin apparently had two unanimous boots as well, with not much disharmony in settling on each vote. Melinda and Loveita both claim there wasn’t much bubbling under the surface either, but perhaps Cristina, aka #5 in the tribe ranking, will have a different take. Loveita got first so I’m sure she had an active role in the first couple boots. I’m willing to bet all the foreign coinage in my piggy bank that Melinda only sat out because she knew she’d also rank highly. No doubt those two are tight, or have at least been made tight by the swap. I actually like Loveita so far--I can see why she was voted #1 in that last challenge. She’s pretty forthright in strategy talk but also willing to go off on social tangents whenever. Melinda, meanwhile, there’s some real hesitation in how she talks. Like when I asked about the Munin idol and she went “i dunno?” and promptly said goodnight. Cristina peaced out immediately so no take on her yet.

Penner had the hopelessly optimistic idea that the other two tribes would throw their challenges, seeing as they had ended up with 4 Munin/2 Fenrir and 2 Fenrir/4 Munin. Trying not to log in as I write this, so just gonna have to go by memory for who’s on which tribe. I know Cochran/Jeff/Tammy/Yve are all together. Which I think will do fine--Cochran/Jeff are obviously inseparable, they should be able to build their relationship back up with Tammy (especially because she likely blames Penner for everything), and Yve has no other options. Then there’s that poor bastard Alex. Of all the swapfucks I’ve ever seen this has to be one of the worst. It’s one thing to land with one ally in the minority. Hell, you can even land all by yourself and have it work out fine. But to land in a tribe full of people who have just voted unanimously twice and shown no signs of disunity, with nothing but your Wilson volleyball named Aubry to shove in front of yourself for protection? That’s rough.
Gary Hogeboom wrote: ↑Tue Apr 07, 2020 9:34:03 pm3. Are you going to be looking around hard for advantages and idols? Are you worried someone has brought one here from their old beach?
Well supposedly there’s nothing to be found here, since the idol clues are all gone. If new clues are posted, I’ll look a decent amount, but mostly offline like before. Which unfortunately doesn’t give me a crazy amount of time to search undetected, but better than that to be caught red-handed digging for it while ignoring everyone else’s messages. I am a little worried that one of these old Munin have the extra vote from their tribe. Not only would that make it harder to keep all the Fenrir around if I wanted to go that route, it would also fuck up my 7D chess plans.
